Wat Laem Suwannaram

A working Buddhist temple on the north coast in the Bophut area, close to the Big Buddha. Smaller and less visited than Wat Phra Yai, it has a calm, genuinely devotional atmosphere that the larger tourist temples sometimes lack. Free to visit; modest dress required (cover shoulders and knees). The temple sits near the water and is worth combining with a trip to the nearby Big Buddha and Bang Rak pier area.
