Known to everyone as the Red Temple for its deep terracotta stone, carved head to foot with figures from Buddhist and Hindu mythology. It's newer than it looks and still being finished, which is half the interest — you can watch the stonework up close. It sits by the sea on the southeast coast near Hua Thanon. Free to visit, rarely crowded, and unlike any other temple on the island. Dress modestly. Pair it with the fish market at Hua Thanon.
