Wat Phra Chedi Laem Sor

A golden-tiled pagoda right on the shore at the island's southern tip, glinting when the sun hits it. Fewer tourists make it this far, so you often get the beach and the chedi to yourself. Climb the small hill behind for a second stupa and a view over the Gulf. Free to visit; it's a working temple, so cover up. Bring water — there's little shade — and combine it with the Red Temple and Hua Thanon for a full south-coast run.
