A traditional Thai Buddhist chedi (stupa) at Laem So on the south-west tip of Koh Samui, in the Taling Ngam district. The chedi stands on a small promontory with views over the Gulf of Thailand, and the setting — quiet, rarely crowded — is one of the most photogenic on the island. Free to visit. Access requires a short drive down a narrow road; by scooter or car.
