Crystal Beach (Coral Cove)

A small, sheltered cove on the east coast between Chaweng and Lamai, known by several names — Crystal Beach, Silver Beach, and Coral Cove all refer to the same spot. About 250 metres of fine white sand with clear water and rock formations at each end that make it the island's best near-shore snorkelling spot. Snorkel gear rental is available from the beach bar for around 100 THB per hour. Gets crowded by mid-morning; arrive before 10am or after 3pm for a comfortable stretch of sand. Accessed via a steep road — scooter or taxi is far easier than walking down.
