Tar Nim, also called the Secret Buddha Garden, is a hillside of statues — Buddhas, deities, animals and human figures — set among jungle, streams and a small waterfall, built by a local fruit farmer from the 1970s. It sits high in the island's interior, so most people come by 4x4 or on a jeep safari; the rough access road isn't for a first-time scooter rider. Cheap entry. Odd, peaceful and photogenic, with cool mountain air and a view on the way up.
