Phru Chaweng

Chaweng Lake (Phru Chaweng) is a coastal lagoon sitting between the busy Chaweng beach strip and the hills, separated from the sea by the beach itself. The wetland edges attract herons and wading birds, and a walking path runs along part of the shore. Free, quiet, and largely ignored by tourists despite sitting behind one of the island's busiest beaches. Reached via small lanes off the main Chaweng road.
