Choeng Mon Beach

A crescent of soft sand in the quiet northeast, family-friendly and calm. The water is shallow and clear, there's a tiny island you can wade to at low tide, and a handful of low-key resorts and cafes sit behind. Much less developed than Chaweng, ten minutes away. Free and public — one of the better beaches for young kids.
