From Chaweng: about 20–25 minutes west by road, past Bophut. Grab is the straightforward way. A songthaew works in the daytime if you agree the fare first.
A small private zoo on Maenam Soi 1. Reptiles, birds, pygmy goats and other animals, close enough that children end up feeding them. An hour and a half covers the whole place. Worth it on a quiet morning if you are already on the north coast and your children like that kind of contact. Not worth a special trip from Lamai, and not a zoo you would plan the week around. Some people will skip it because the animals are handled. That is a fair reason.
